I’ve been enjoying my buddy Greg’s blog Steven Spielblog since he started it a few months back. Why have I waited until now to link to it? I wanted to make sure the comedy wasn’t just a fluke… beginner’s luck or something like that. It’s not. He’s genuinely funny, a far better reviewer than I, and he’s got pretty okay taste. Starting this month you can also catch his review over at Twitch (although with fewer irreverent captions). Keep it up bud.
Alex has got his photoblog up and running and right now it is packed to the gills with great shots like these two from last month’s amazing Sasquatch Festival. Check out the awesome power of the fisheye!
For a lot more from Sasquatch check out Danz’s flickrset and Alex’s flickrset. Nice work guys.

I’m happy to present a continuation of the MyLA series with this guest post by SoCal native George Velasco. George has since moved on to the cloudier confines of the east coast (currently DC) but has been kind enough to give us his take on the city of angels.

My LA is Sapphire & tonic at 4100, Tecate at Cha Cha or $1 tequila shots at The Gold Room if I’m really looking to tie one on. My LA is racing to Mt. High for 5pm-10pm night boarding (only $30). MyLA is a fun-filled afternoon at the track, seriously one of the most enjoyable (and surprisingly inexpensive) ways to spend a day …especially a work day. My LA is watching soccer on Saturdays and Sundays and probably Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (but only sometimes Mondays and Fridays). My LA is shows at Spaceland, The Echo(+plex), and The Greek. My LA is shopping at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market and then cooking a fresh Sunday dinner with my LA fam. But more than anything else, my LA is the view from my balcony as the sun sets over the city I call home.
Def winning this week’s award for best blog name, sboogie and dbot have got their new NW based blog up and running. Check it out and congrats yo.
One donkey Xmas video deserves another. Hey how bout a sequel guys?
New photos from my recent time in the N-dub are up on flickr. There are shots from my momma’s (like this shot of the Dancing Ballerina), shots from the Sasquatch Festival (also see Danz’s shots), shots from the city, and shots from the Rangerville party (and Abby has shots up on facebook – tho you probably gotta log in).
Lemme know what you think and thanks to everyone who made it such a great trip.
This pretty damn sick spec (not commissioned or paid for by the band) video for “Kids” by MGMT is by up and coming young director Jon Salmon. Props man this vid is dope …and what a great song to pick.
Check out the comments conversation. Is that foxy youngin singing along in the KISS getup with the ponytail a lass or a lad? You make the call…
Just posted a new Flickr Set from my camping trip a couple weeks ago to Jalama Beach. It is a beautiful spot about an hour past SB. Heading towards Lompoc you turn off right before the town and then drive through farms and ranches for about 30 mins before ending up on a perfect plot of beach with only the campground for miles in any direction. It is a bit chilly and windy in March but boy are the green hills beautiful. We set up a sick camp site right on the beach – perfect for enjoying the amazing sunsets.
Check out the shots and thanks to Addy and Goldie for makin the trip amazing.
This is for Oliver, Gerrard, and Pettler. Always good times guys (oh and some bad times apparently).
And also for all those awesome clichéd college posters (avail on amazon) and the many jokes to be made about them - though these lists are missing the ubiquitous Pink Floyd Albums on Girls’ Backs. Love it.
The hilarious new web series from the Handsome Donkey crew (check out Le Montage) is live at ABC. 2 episodes up already and they’re great.
From the site:
This hilarious new web comedy that follows the ups and downs of four buddies trying to make it in the rough and tumble world of high-rise window washing! It’s packed with high-flying stunts, steamy romance, hair-brained adventure and plenty of blood, vomit and nudity. Buckle your harness … this job is not for the faint of heart.
Congrats BC – you are an inspiration to all of us.
