Woo woo! That is impressive. I seem to remember you mentioning you saw both Jimi and The Doors on the same bill.
Those 5 shows you mention are some of my faves. But there are soooo many shows I feel lucky to have seen.
Built to Spill at the Pier - my first 21 and over show (I was 19) over the water during the sunset, about 10 feet from Doug as he rocked through Carry the Zero. It was the 2nd time I had seen them live, but the first since I had really gotten into them and hearing that song cemented a life-long relationship.
Tool at the Mercer Arean on Aenima tour - I loved that venue. I started out in the seats (2nd row on floor) because my friends (Josh, Dave Harris, Pat, J.N., etc) had claimed them early. It was fine through the Melvins but as soon as Maynard came out clicking into a hair dryer for Eulogy I jumped over the row in front of me and ran up front. There was NO way I could sit still through that show.
Deftones @ RKCNDY Around the Fur release tour - Oh man, this one was great. Not only was it Deftones AT RKCNDY! (Capacity 600 - the quintessential Seattle rock venue) but it was one of the first times I jumped into a car with a bunch of friends to head to a show in Seattle. I think it might have been the first time I went to a show other than at the Firehouse with you, Erik. Just to add gooey frosting to my already delicious cupcake we hung around after the show and got to rap about music and politics with Chino and the gang. I still have my signed stub around somewhere.
So many especially good show at the RKCNDY: Screaming Trees, Helmet, Local H, Rev. Horton Heat, Boy Sets Fire, Super Sonic Soul Pimps.
Oh Erik, what about Warped Tour 1999: NOFX, Pennywise, Eminem, Cypress Hill, Suicidal Tendencies, Blink 182 - plus what an amazingly fun day.
Evil Empire Rage @ Mercer, Great Southern Trendkill Pantera @ Mercer, Elevation U2 @ T-Dome, Family Values 99 (Filter, Staind, Method Man + Redman, Limp Bizkit +) & Family Values 2k (Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Primus, Stone Temple Pilots) @ T-Dome
Mudhoney & Candlebox @ Pain in the Grass
Every one of the many times seeing Floater, Built to Spill, or 3SP.
uhhh... Bumbershoot anyone? I can't even begin to list all the great shows I have seen there. Just look up the line up for every B-shoot back to 1996. (ahhh, 1996 was the Van goin year that started it all. Erik throwing the can out the window and Kevin having to run across traffic to pick it up...?
)
Yikes! I could do this all day. I better come back to it.
