Japan now has Gatorade! Amazing!
Except... it isn't really gatorade. It tastes like every other sports drink in Japan. Kinda vaguely citrusy - probably grapefruit. I have found Amino-Value (the orange one) is the closest to American sports drinks.

That's actually supposed to be the supreme sports drink...and at about $6.00 per liter I would imagine so...

I have heard of Pedialyte but not from Japan. Maybe that is one of the ones that comes in the tiny bottles. Will investigate.

... is disgusting. Imagine the part of the Gatorade taste that isn't good, but magnified 10X.

... not the unflavored version. Grape. Tastes like, well, yucky minerally sweat or something. YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!!!!!!!! Disgusting stuff. Deceptive too. It smells good, so you think hmmm, sweet grape drink. I'll have that. Then it contacts your tastebuds and makes you wish you hadn't encountered it.
I can only imagine... or maybe not... what the non-flavored kind tastes like. YUCK!!!!!!

The thought of non-flavored sports drink makes my stomach turn.

... maybe if the flavored sweat was glistening on a lovely... nevermind
That only changes the context. Not the taste.
