I'd have to be silly, or plum out-o-cash for the next week or so. I can't believe how cheap they are now, even when they aren't on sale. My current backup device of choice right now is my little 2.5" USB HDD though. The only reason I want a DVD burner is to be able to send decent amounts of data to other people via the only safe medium these days. The stupid USPS.

You'd have to be silly not to buy that for me for my birthday. Actually, I think the OEM version of that drive goes for about $63.00 on newegg on any given of the week. But I know, the bundled software isn't something you wanna miss out on.

That is the OEM version. It comes in Beige, Black, and Silver, each with or without SW (bleh - Roxio). They range from $62-$69. I have silver. I wasn't really referring to the sale so much as just the drive. Right now the black one has free shipping.
