Here is a good video.

This is from a metal band called Earthists. from Japan. The cool thing about this video is that they collaborated on this song with the singers from two other bands, a Chinese post-hardcore band called Life Awaits, and a Korean hardcore band called End These Days. They filmed the bulk of the video in Japan, but they sent the camera to China and Korea and those guys filmed parts for the cameos and mixed the clips into the video. So the video features Japan (Toykyo), Chinese (Beijing), and South Korea (Busan) skylines and cityscapes. Pretty cool.

On the metal subject, I like these guys. They're weird. I think they're now defunct though.

Nice, I like! And I've never heard Vektor, which is always a plus - I love being introduced to a band I haven't heard of and who already has a discography to explore. They are thrashy, which I love. Too bad they do seem to be defunct or at least the singer is the only active member at the moment.

Here is another cool defunct band, Last Chance to Reason. Computer Prog Metal. Their singer now performs with the band called The Contortionist, also a cool band.

Last Chance to Reason made three albums: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.

With hit singles ( ) like "Upload Complete" and "Temp Files", and computer speak lyrics, how could you not enjoy?

Nice! I like those. Love the video on the first one. The synth-work on the second one is great!

Another, more traditional (but newer) thrash band I like is Black Fast. They do tend to master their tracks with not enough low-frequency content IMO, but I like their music.

I also kind of like (though other than here I might not admit it ) Skeletonwitch. They're somewhat more low-grade in content, but I like some of their musical stylings. They can be pretty technical on occasion. Their lyrical content can be tiresome though. I sometimes have it on while I'm working and not paying attention.

I still listen to 300 Percent Density now and then. I think on your suggestion it's what got me listening to the metals.

I'm going to post this in two places. Once here, and once in the funny video thread. Ceephax Acid Crew is Squarepusher's brother. He does some amazing acid tracks. This one happens to be really funny.

Yes Smooth McGroove is good. I watch quite a bit of Dr. Mix. His Thriller reconstruction was tip top.

^^ this is totally nuts, the walk-through at the end is awesome. The way that he has mapped things, for instance the layered things like kick + cymbal crash, etc. to certain keys, and working the pedals to modulate sounds, incredibly clever in order to get all of those sounds happening as they should.

Not new, but I like it.

It was probably made in 3D Studio and batch-rendered on a Cray.
