teh hell???

Post by N3ur0n0saurusl2exs0r!!! »

Three nights in a row??? to do teh l)ance of teh l)runken? How will I ever get ripped to the bone by drinking so much and eating so much sweet canday!

Gotta cut this shizzza loose quick...or not! hehehe!

So...I was thinking about dear old Bruce...wish he was still alive damnit...why the hell did he have to die so early? would have been cool to see just what the hell good ole Bruce would have been able to do in the day of today regarding MMA...he was the originator of it all you know??? I think he would be able to take on most of the MMA guys of the day although he would have a problem with some of the bigger guys...even with his amazing speed he just wouldn't be able to get enough punches in before he was forced to grapple and eventually be overpowered...but then again I could be wrong...

I wonder what dear old Brucy would have to say today if he was still alive?

I know! Let's pretend he is! and ask him some important questions and see what he says? ya? ya!

Ok...so...Ok...let's start with the obvious questions first....like - oh I know we can do it in an Ask Bruce format or something ya...that would work...ok here we go...

----------

Dear Bruce,

I recently got into weight lifting and ended up overdeveloping my traps. I thought it was cool to have big traps but my numerous friends have informed me that it is not so cool because I ended up losing my neck. How should I respond to this?

Sincerely,

Teh Recently No-necked l2icks0r!

----------

Dear Teh Recently No-necked l2icks0r!,

Just tell them this, I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations and you're not in this world to live up to mine.

Your Friend...Bruce Lee

Ah...such wonderful advice from dear old Brucey...

shall we continue? yes...I think we shall!

----------

Dear Bruce,

My friends think I may be getting too big with all the weight training I am doing lately...I don't know what to think of this - what do you think?

Sincerely,
Overly huge?

Dear Overly huge?

Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one's potential.

Yours truly,

Bruce Lee

----------

Dear Bruce,

A lot of my friends think that I am too "Full-On." Is this really a problem or is it really a quality to embrace?

Honestly yours,

Full-On Rick

Dear Full-On Rick,

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. Use no way as a way, use no limitations as a limitation.

Your friend,

Bruce Lee

----------

Dear Bruce,

I recently broke a powerlifting record that had stood for nearly three years...I am thinking that I should pack on a few more pounds and break the record in that next weight class. What do you think? Should I be satisfied with holding a single record or should I go for two?

Sincerely Yours,

NoNecked l2icks0r!

Dear NoNecked l2icks0r!,

The future looks extremely bright indeed, with lots of possibilities ahead - big possibilities. Like the song says, "We've just begun."

Your friend,

Bruce Lee

----------

Dear Bruce,

It seems as though some of my friends take offense to having valued their opinion as being one that is more valuable than my own in their eyes...how do I respond to such one-sided inclination?

Yours Truly,

l2icks0r!

Dear l2icks0r!,

Take no thought of who is right or wrong or who is better than. Be not for or against.

Your friend,

Bruce Lee

----------

Dear Bruce,

There is this stupid little fuck that is pissing me off all the time at the gym...I don't understand this guy - just when I think he may be severely brain damaged he does something that a brain damaged person would not be able to do thus proving he is actually not brain damaged...Maybe this stupid little fuck has ADD or something - what is the deal yo?

Yours confusedly,

Angry l2icks0r!

Dear Angry l2icks0r!,

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash!

Hope that helps,

Bruce Lee

----------

Help what!?!?!? WTF! Sometimes Bruce I find that you are perhaps a little too far out there...

Dear Bruce,

I recently ran into a programming conundrum in c++ that destroys many of the principles I have built my knowledge upon - how should I handle this revelation?

Yours conundrumly,

l2icks0r!

Dear l2icks0r!,

All fixed set patterns are incapable of adaptability or pliability. The truth is outside of all fixed patterns.

Your c++ programming collegue,

Bruce Lee

----------

Dear Bruce,

Sometimes I wonder about how I am living my life...It used to be so clear and obvious to me as far as what path I should take and how I should develop based on the views of society - but now I am on a path not recognized by society thus it is shunned and misunderstood...I nonetheless continue to believe that this is still the correct path for me to follow...what do you think?

Yours Truly,

Nonsocietal nutcase

Dear Nonsocietal nutcase,

I am learning to understand rather than immediately judge or to be judged. I cannot blindly follow the crowd and accept their approach. I will not allow myself to indulge in the usual manipulating game of role creation. Fortunately for me, my self-knowledge has transcended that and I have come to understand that life is best to be lived and not to be conceptualized. I am happy because I am growing daily and I am honestly not knowing where the limit lies. To be certain, every day there can be a revelation or a new discovery. I treasure the memory of the past misfortunes. It has added more to my bank of fortitude."

Yours truly,

Bruce Lee

----------

Yo Bruce,

Yo I think you is da bomb dogg! You is da shizzle fo sho my brutha!!! Yo you be kickin with the MADD knowledge yo!!!

Ah yeah...Bomb Diggity

Dear Bomb Diggity,

I am not teaching you anything. I just help you to exlplore yourself.

Your Dogg,

Bruce Lee

----------

Yo Brucy,

Yo...I think I am da mutha-fuckin shit yo! There is no other like the motherfuckin me yo!!!!

Ah yizzzeah my bizzzznitch!!!!

Yo Mama

Dear Yo Mama,

As you think, so shall you become.

Your bizzzznitch,

Bruce Lee

----------

Yo Bruce,

Hey! So like sometimes I think I say too much. I can't think of anyone else who writes as much crap as I do on my friends bulletin board. I mean sometimes I just can't help myself but to write tons of crazy shit yo! What's up wit dat? Should I be more reserved? Should I say less? What the hell Bruce! What's up wit me yo?

Your friend,

l2icks0r!

Dear l2icks0r!,

Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not you go out and look for a successfull personality an duplicate it.

Yours truly,

Bruce Lee

----------

Ah Bruce!!! You ain't no daisy! You ain't no daisy at all!!! I'm your huckleberry!!!

For some reason this post made me think of what was the most important thing to me in this life.

And I immediately knew it was Love and Family.

Yeah? Let's ask Bruce what he thinks about that...shall we? yes!

Dear Bruce,

What do you think of Love and Family?

Sincerely yours,

Agent Bos

Dear Agent Bos,

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

Your Friend,

Bruce Lee

Maybe I should expand upon this notion...It is a worthy topic.

No matter what your ties are to your world you will always be the most important thing in your life. Not your family, not some object, not some ideal - just you.

Your life is yours and nobody elses. You don't owe anyone anything for your life. You are your own - you should serve no one else other than yourself. No one should ever come before you unless you believe suicide is admirable...some do...I do not...

You've taken it out of context now.

Whats most important in MY life. The question isn't "is my own life is most important, or someone elses?" or I would have nothing important because I wouldn't be alive, unless of course you are still conscience after you die, in a different form, at which point your physical life doesn't mean anything anymore. Back on topic, this could change when I have a family of my own. I may find that one day my childrens lives are far more important to me than my own that I would sacrifice the pleasures in my own life to give them or even step in front of a bullet so that they may live.

Why don't we ask him why he doesn't turn into an over-inflated gas-bag when he works out. Or maybe why he still has a neck after so much exercise. I didn't read your interview at all, but I'm pretty sure you didn't cover the hard hitting issues like these. :D

Would you be ok with one of your family members stepping in front of a bullet to save you and the result of their intervention being he/she losing their life? As in they sacrificed their own life to save yours? I don't agree with this - that's all I'm saying.

And as far as being an over-inflated gas bag I don't see any difference in calling someone fat, skinny, or muscular - if it's meant in a derogatory way then it's not cool. Calling someone a fat-ass because they don't take care of themself is just as bad as calling someone a skinny-ass, or a muscle-head or whatever.

You can't vary your grades in acceptable derogation. I've heard you refer to people in many ways in which would negate what you just said. I've heard you say fat in regards to another person, stupid, idiot, etc. etc. I say those things all the time, in spite of the fact that it's not technically the right thing to do. That's what people do. If I think you getting huge is silly, then I shall call you an over-inflated gas bag. Doesn't mean I think little of you. Just means I think that apect of you is silly. And... IT IS!!! :D :D :D :p

So there.

Hmmm...I suppose that is true...

I don't take offense or anything about being called a over-inflated gas-bag btw...because I know you think it's silly...When I weighed 200lbs I did it because I wanted to see what it would be like...and because I had never weighed that much - I thought it would be funny to be that big. :D

Did you know that my friend Jamie made me a belt buckle that says 200 on it? heh,I have yet to wear it...

Of course not. Who would be ok with that?

Well this conversation is all over teh place. I can't imagine waht in Rick's post made you think waht you did Bos, but it brings up another interesting topic that I have thought about from time to time. Is it possible for anyone to make a truly selfless decision or is every decision we make based on what is best for ourselves? Sure if I give $50 to my local NPR station I am helping everyone in the long run, but that inlcludes helping myself. If I give $50 to that guy over there, am I doing it because he needs it or because I feel better about myself for having done it?

The only example that springs to mind of true selflessness is sacrificing your life for someone else.
