That was only one gfx card. The other one is bad, and needs to be returned.
You can get various "extreme" versions of the Core 2 Quad that would work, but they really aren't worth the price premium. You can OC a bit, and get similar results.
You can use the same copy of Vista. You have to activate by phone though most likely. You get a few activations, but sometimes you have to call to say that it was just a motherboard swap, not a new PC. (usually automated, though sometimes you need to talk to someone)

I think you should just burn the bad gfx card...I know it wouldn't fix it but it would definitely "fix" it.
Is it olive-complected?enderzero wrote:Sorry but the museum has closed down. Now running with a svelte Dual 750 GB 7200.11 setup. No more of that external nonsense.enderzero wrote:A veritable museum of the last 5 years of Seagate technology:
750GB 7200.11 system drive

Nice setup by the way. I run a pair of them myself with a 500GB for the system drive. (I'm still doing manual RAID though, haven't mirrored or striped them yet.)

So now that the museum is closed, turns out there are problems with 7200.11 firmware:

Maybe this is what j3rk was experiencing.

I wonder at what point in time would the entire contents of the internet fit on a 1TB HD?
In 2003 supposedly the internet was 532,897TB or 520.4PB
I think that would be cool to have a 512PB hard drive... I like exa better than peta though...and a 1 exabyte drive would kick ass since 0.508EB would contain all of the internet in 2003...according to these guys http://www2.sims.berkeley.edu/research/ ... ternet.htm
OH and our 64-bit CPUs can address 16EB...ridiculous...
